Sinhgad Institute of Management and Computer Application invites students to participate in the annual programming event, LOGICA 11 to test their programming skills in C / C++ on the 01st of October, 2011.
The event is aimed at testing the programming skills and logical problem solving abilities of a student in order to take cognizance of their talent.
Attractive prizes will be given to the winners in various categories.
Guidelines:
- The programming contest is open to all students (graduate/post graduate).
- This is one day event.
- Every participant has to mail their registration entries to events@simca.ac.in for the competition on or before 28 th September 2011 in the specified format.
- Registration fees is Rs. 100/-
- The event consists of three rounds as follows:
- First Round – Qualifying Round (Q.R.)
- Second Round – Programming Round I [Blind Programming](P. R. I)
- Third Round – Programming Round II (P. R. II)
- In the First round the objective test based on computer fundamentals & basic programming skills will be conducted. There negative marking system - Correct : +02 Wrong : -01
- In Second round [Blind programming round] the qualified participants has to implement the given problem in C or C++ without monitor's help. The selected participants will be allowed to appear for the final round.
- The guidelines regarding problem Statement for third round will be given to the participants after the result declaration of the second round. Any clarifications required will be addressed at that time only.
- For third round the problems will be given and evaluated by reputed industry persons.
- The contest will be held in several of our college Labs.
- The students will be given a number of problems that range in difficulty and topics.
- Solutions will be judged on correctness and efficiency.
- The participant that passes the most test cases is declared the winner.
- The participant will be required to write complete programs for problems including alternative solutions.
- They should also write input validator and output verifier.
- Judging will be done by running the submitted program for some test cases and checking its output.
- The runtime limit will be 3 minutes unless otherwise indicated in the problem specification.
- A program is either accepted or rejected. Rejection will be for any of the following reasons
- Syntax Error
- Run-time Error
- Time Limit Exceeded
- Wrong Answer
- Failed Test Case
- Inaccurate Answer
- Too Little / Too much Output
- Bad Output format
- Check clarification
- Problems will be posed in English.
- No electronic devices / PDA's /Internet connection will be allowed during the contest hours.
- Contestants are required to be present at the venue at least 15 min. before the starting time.
- The decision of the panel of judges will be final and no complaints will be entertained.
- A handsome prize awaits the winner.
- All participants will be given a certificate and winners will get attractive prizes.
